SAAF C47-TP crashes in Drakensberg mountains : 11 dead

A South African Air Force C47-TP operated by 35 Squadron has crashed in a mountainous area with the loss of all eleven occupants whilst on a routine flight from Waterkloof AFB (FAWK) to Mthatha (FAUT). Last contact with ATC indicated that the plane was flying in IMC. There was no distress call. The wreckage was found the following day after the search was delayed due to inclement weather.
