Private or Commercial, the risk?

I was recently reading through the difference in safety between Commercial and Private flying and was interested as to why there seems to be a far greater risk of flying privately. One quote taken from the article that I was surprised at is the following: “Statistics from the N.T.S.B show that general aviation aircraft average nearly seven accidents per 100,000 flight hours, compared with an average of 0.16 accidents per 100,000 hours for commercial airlines” I'm interested in hearing your… (www.nytimes.com) المزيد...
