No issue with EU airport slot rule, no sign of ghost flights, EU says

I'm always leery of labeling something fake news, but how is ghost flights being circulated on most of the major news organizations around Europe? Seems easy enough to prove or disprove.
I think it was a bunch of climate faff and assumption.
