ARINC Direct partners with FlightAware to offer live flight tracking on ARINC web site
During the 2012 NBAA Meeting & Convention next week, ARINC Direct (Booth No N2155) will announce a new partnership with FlightAware to provide enhanced live flight tracking information as a further evolution to its suite of business aviation services. Very exciting stuff here.
This is a cool partnership, the old with the new, and I do mean old. Quick, can the 40 and unders say what ARINC stands for without a google. No fair if you fly international. Can you say HF, SELCAL. Time and technology marches on. And in my experience with it HF sucks. Better than nothing over the ocean, but not by much.
Even as an erstwhile member, I had to google to be reminded what ARINC stood for. And I'm over 50.
I believe that AIRINC is a lot more than just HF.
