I actually did recognize it as a P-51 but it still should have been identified when posted as well as just a little detail behind the photo. I agree with a no or low vote with the lack of any commentary.

Lucky dog! A chance to fly in a B-25 AND fly alongside a P-40.

At the very bottom of the page you should see "Photo Tags" which will have the info you typed. You can change it there.

Hmmm . . . a moving subject that's sharp, with some prop blur, good color, centered, tightly cropped. Seems pretty good to me. An airplane in the sky will have nothing behind it, or clouds behind it. If someone is fortunate enough to be where there are mountains, trees, things like that, good. Otherwise, you take it as it is. I don't think it's that bad. What is bad though is that you're jumping on this guy when you have posted some really terrible images yourself such as http://tinyurl.com/loox3su , http://tinyurl.com/k2a226o , and http://tinyurl.com/m93d5c2 - underexposed, far away, drab. This photo and others you have criticized are much better than some of the ones you have posted. So, I wouldn't be 'throwing stones' and would consider a photography class yourself.

This is a Cessna Citation not at Cessna 402 twin engine prop plane.

This user is known for this. He stole 25 of one photographer's images and more of other photographers. Most have been removed by staff.

His and all others' service is appreciated and their sacrifice is not forgotten. It's too bad he didn't make it.

Now this is different. I like it.

Thank you. I turned around when he pulled in, and had only a couple of seconds to get the shot the way I wanted it.

Outstanding Photo, where was this taken?
Written on 04/17/2014 by Joe Daniel
Great shot! I'm sure you got an earful of engine when this plane passed overhead.
Written on 02/27/2014 by Jimmy Robinson
This looks more like a helicopter than a Cessna 402 twin engine airplane.

I agree. There's a whole lot of junk and mediocre images uploaded to this site. Some people seem to do wholesale 'dumping' of photos regardless of quality. They get a high number of posts because they just upload whatever they take, good or bad, mostly bad.

This 747 is going to have a hard time landing; it's landing uphill.

Thank you. I've been photographing the Tbirds for years and always like it when I get one that stands out.

Whoops! I guess the 'fix' was a mistake too. Well, half right at least.

Very nice. This looks so peaceful and serene, a good place to take a walk and relax.

Actually, it's not. The threshold of the runway on the island of St. Martin is within throwing distance from the beach. Aircraft come down extremely low to the crowd and the beach in order to touch down on the runway. Here's a couple of links showing the airport and the beach - http://www.airplane-pictures.net/images/uploaded-images/2011-8/31/154105.jpg http://travel.spotcoolstuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/maho-st-maarten-airport-beach-6.jpg

I'm not sure why this one was given a water salute, but a plane will often be given the salute when the pilot is on his last flight before retiring. This one could have been for that reason or maybe because the aircraft was being retired.
Written on 04/03/2014 by Jimmy Robinson
Thanks. I've photographed this aircraft a lot.

Wow! Nice.
Written on 02/26/2014 by Jimmy Robinson
Wow! I really like this shot. There are so many great elements-people with cameras, sand being kicked up, the shadow on people, everybody focused on the plane, and of course, the plane.

Not good.

May be you want to consider holding the camera straight next time. Otherwise, there is photo processing software available in the market.

Timing is everything and you got it on this one. Good shot. I like the way the wings line up on a straight line.
Written on 03/04/2014 by Jimmy Robinson
In which sense does this one and other photos of yours contribute to a flight tracking and plane spotting web site?
Written on 12/07/2013 by Guido Warnecke
Thanks, I appreciate it. This particular image was taken with a Minolta 7D (believe it or not) in 2007, processed in Photoshop. I started out with the 7D as my first DSLR since I had a full array of lenses, cords, etc, from having bought the 7000 (the first autofocus SLR) when it came out. I now use a Nikon D300, possibly upgrading whenever I find employment.
