Very interesting.... Have not seen that one before... thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the photo. Wonder if it is a possible replacement for the OV-22?
Tilt rotor are the ultimate IMHO, flexibility, versatility of a chopper, with the flight efficiency (once transitioned to horizontal flight) of a fixed wing. Marvelous stuff!
Great shot!!!
Beautiful design. Look how far away the engines are. Should make them quieter. Look at the size of the windows. Passengers get an excellent view. Says "high speed pass", wonder what that was.
Supposed to be less wear and tear, because on this, the engines remain in place and only the rotors and drive shafts tilt. Great picture.
Timothy.......
Amazing shot / Neat Aircraft

I wonder what Vmc is on a beast like that...
Alan Brown, Nope, Different size class, different mission profiles.
Charlie Gibbs, Velocity? Zero, it can hover like a helicopter. Visibility? Zero fully instrument rated.
Beautiful Shot! Beautiful Plane!
I think the Navy could use this platform for ASW. It would be both MH-60 and S-3 at the same time!

Vmc? Don't even think about it!! Fortunately either engine can drive both props, so Vmc SHOULD never be an issue!
An image of same, with props fully transitioned, please!
From Wikipedia:
On 5 June 2013, Bell Helicopter announced that the V-280 Valor design had been selected by the US Army for the Joint Multi-Role (JMR) Technology Demonstrator (TD) phase. The JMR-TD phase is the technology demonstration precursor to Future Vertical Lift (FVL). The Army classified the offering as a Category I proposal, meaning it is a well-conceived, scientifically or technically sound proposal pertinent to program goals and objectives with applicability to Army mission needs, offered by a responsible contractor with the competent scientific and technical staff supporting resources required to achieve results. JMR-TD contracts were expected to be awarded in September 2013, with flights scheduled for 2017.
Performance
Cruise speed: 320 mph (520 km/h, 280 kn)

Ferry range: 2,400 mi (3,900 km, 2,100 nmi)
Service ceiling: 6,000 ft (1,800 m) ; in hover out of ground effect at 95 °F (35 °C)
Disk loading: 16[52] lb/sq ft (78 kg/m2)
