Awesome Shot! What was AF2 doing there?
Have always liked the very tall main landing gear on the B757/C32A. Nice shot out of Shannon on a rain slicked taxiway...
Returning back from the INDIA trip ..... Us President and First lady travelled from Ahmedabad to Agra and back to Delhi on the B757 (C32A).
I'm with Chris Robey. Very robust undercarriage on the 757s. Why didn't Boeing develop that as their long-haul single aisle derivative instead of pushing ahead with the 737 beyond its capabilities? The 757 is just made for development that the 737 MAX will never achieve.

@Alan; The 737 has become the aviation equiv of the Model T -- most prolific airframe ever!
Very robust undercarriage on the 757's - that's part of the fuel tank
The way boeing should've solved the max issue, instead of pushing the engine forward.
