Grumman C-2 Greyhound (16-2173)
Comments
You don't see that many photos of these "heroes". Essential to Carrier life.
Superb photograph of a ship to shore workhorse!
Great bird soon to be killed off by an osprey!
"Killed off?" I have my doubts. The V-22 is a different class machine. My assessment is they are needed for more flexibility in UNREP and close support for the littoral craft. The Greyhound has long legs and capacity I suspect the needs of the Navy will support for some years to come.
