That's because the medias have no idea what plane is what so any plane pic will do to them.happens in Australia too it drives me mad.
PS. Why does the media use stock footage of an A320 when it was a CRJ-200?

You know not every little dinky upset that happens in aviation - some of which happen every day - rates a squawk. Some of these things are mindless. Their terrifyingness is only created by the media who thinks everyone on the plane is going to die if the screens went blank, a plane had a hard landing, some upset idiot (drunk) passenger got outta hand and had to be restrained, a plane slides off the runway in icy conditions.
These are virtually everyday occurrences in North America, and don't rate a squawk. They are only a big deal because the media gets a hold of them and exaggerates or magnifies their severity. I would recommend that YOU don't do that also.
